Before you commission
What kind of photo do I need to send?
Any clear, well-lit photo where we can see your pet's face — most phone photos work beautifully. Eye level, no heavy shadows, and the closer the better. If a photo won't work, we'll email you for another before we start.
Can I see the portrait before it's printed?
If you'd like to. Tick "Email me a photo to confirm" when you order and we'll send you a photo of the finished portrait to okay before it goes to print. If you don't, we check it carefully ourselves and send it straight to print — which is also the fastest way to get it.
Does it only come framed?
The framed print is the signature piece, but every persona is also available as a ceramic mug, a jigsaw puzzle, or a digital portrait — the same painting, delivered as a high-resolution file by email. Pick the keepsake on the persona's page.
Can I put more than one pet in a portrait?
Absolutely. You can add up to three pets to a single portrait — each additional pet is a small upcharge, selected on the product page.
How long does it take?
We paint your portrait within 2–3 business days, then printing, framing and delivery take roughly 4–9 business days in Australia — longer for the large 18 × 24, which ships as an oversized parcel. Asked for a photo to confirm? The clock pauses until you reply. Ordering for a birthday or holiday? Build in about two and a half weeks to be safe.
What if I don't like it?
Every portrait is checked by our studio before it prints, and you can ask to see a photo of it first. If your framed piece arrives damaged, we'll replace it free — that's our Hang It With Pride guarantee.
Is this a good gift?
It's our most common order. You only need a photo of the pet — no sizes, no addresses guessed wrong. Many gift-givers have the framed portrait shipped straight to the recipient.
